Storm Chasing Through Fashion and Art

This weekend was very exciting and full of imaginative events & photography. VLP raced off to the art opening, This Page Intentionally Left Blank, featuring artists Amy Vandonsel, Jeremy Rabus, & Brian Walsh. We found the spot despite the pouring rain with helps of Peat Wollaeger at a tattoo shop, who happened to know the artists, the gallery, and was himself a Cherokee street stencil artist! The gallery was full of gorgeous artwork and artists, DJ Chilly C, and art devotees. The following morning we headed to the fashion shoot for the Blue Bird Denim launch with designer Anna Friss. The shoot featured a day in the life of a BBD girl from morning to night, taking us from vibrant pink closet room with a black chandelier, to a bike ride in the park, to cocktails at The Fountain on Locust, to shopping in the city, and finally back at home. Miss BBD is decked out in  drop-dead designs as she goes about her day (see the chic outfits below). In true St. Louis fashion, there was a  tempestuous storm that crept in at the end of our shooting day, keeping us on our toes. VLP, BBD, and models Camelia & Jennifer, barely beat the weather, having to seek cover in the basement of the Natural Way in Webster Groves, avoiding the downpour and sirens of a tornado. The wrap up shoot is on Thursday so stay tuned to see our weekends photography, abstract art, and gorgeous fashions! Kisses, June
